08.10 Somero, temperament test
Three of our bitches made their temperament test today. We have a new FI CH as Greta, Drover's Good Luck Charm RN passed the test with +173 points being unfamiliar to gunshots. Fara, Drover's Forevermore also passed her test with +174 points being secure to gunshots. Elle, Danka Red NBT de l'Oree des Charmois got +150 points but surprised us with being unsecure to gunshots. She has heard gunshots through her life at the obedience training and never been bothered to them. Neither was she bothered after her test while we were just chatting at the car parking place by the test area while they were shooting for the next dog. Really peculiar behaviour from Elle at the test.

30.-31.07 Ülenurme double CAC/Estonia via Warsawa/Poland
Taija's cousin who is breeding OES's had found a male for her bitch in Poland. Esmeralda, as she is called was expected to have her season in august but she decided to start her season one month too early. What the heck?! So...what shall we do? We have a show in Estonia on forthcoming weekend when Esmeralda should be mated and the male was in Warsawa. A roadmap was taken on the table and it did not take much time to decide that we can make it if we drive like nuts. So off to the road with first ferry from Helsinki to Tallinn/ Estonia early in the morning. The ferry was in Tallinn at 9.30am and we had some 1000+ km ahead us to Warsawa. Via Baltic was new to us. We both had been to Riga/Latvia and thought that the road was excellent. What we didn't know was that driving during a weekday, it was wednesday, meant that the road was loaded with trucks! We were in Warsawa at 01.00am! God is that city huge. Having 2.4 million inhabitants it sure was not an easy task to find your way to anywhere. We found our hotel Best Western Felix after we had asked the way from a taxidriver. Thursday morning was booked for the mating which happened easily. To find the place where the male lived was not that easy. We were two hours late from the time we were supposed to meet the owner :-) That made us to buy a map of Warsawa. It kinda made it easier to drive there but still if you missed one cross road it took some half an hour to make a u-turn and find your way back! Friday morning saw another mating and then it was off to via Baltica and to Tartu/Estonia where we had booked a hotel for a double CAC show which was in a nearby smalltown. We had 930km ahead of us. It took hours to get out of Warsawa so we were late on our time schedule. We made the trip with minimum stops, only for getting the dogs to potty and filling the tank. We did not eat anything except one coffee and shakestop at Mac Donalds by noon. We were in Tartu at midnight. Booked us in to the hotel and went to MacDonalds for a quick meal and off to bed. We did not bath the dogs as it was ment to be. Aussies got their feet washed but not blowed and off to bed went we. The shows went pretty well though showing more or less dirty dogs. Folke, Drover's Infinite Attention was shown for the very first time in puppy class. He won BOS-puppy both days with super critiques. Hjördis, Drover's Honey I'm Home was 2nd best bitch with CAC both days. Saturday was judged by Mrs Bozena Ovesna from Czech Republic and sunday was judged by Mr Stelios Makaritis from Greece.

31.07 J-litter is due week 36
While Taija was down to Poland and Estonia took Satu Trulli, Drover's Fortuneteller to ultrasound. There were several pups in Trulli's belly :-)

First one from our H-litter has been x-rayed. Lakka, Drover's Happened That Summer has A-A hips but her elbows are 3-0. Her left elbow was operated when she was a puppy because there was a loose peace of bone which made her lame in her left front foot. It is good to know that clinically her elbow is graded as 1 but if a dog has been operated in one or both elbows the operated elbow will always come back as worst from our Kennel Club. Lakka will be spayed in the near future. Also Greta, Drover's Good Luck Charm visited the vet during last week. Her knees were checked and they were perfect: 0-0.

24.-25.06. Herning Int, WW-10 and Studsgård specialty, Denmark
Our holiday in western Jutland, Denmark is over. We stayed for one week in a small village Fjand close to Atlantic ocean. We have seen the dunes and the fascinating views. The dogs had a blast on the beach. Our main reason for a holiday in Denmark was, though, the FCI world dog show on 24th June and the specialty for herding breeds on June 25th. We had five aussies with us. Danish Kennel Club had expected alot more entries as they had reserved two judges, one for pups and juniors and one for the adults. The sky high entry fees plus the judges said it all, only 82 aussies alltogether! The two pups and 18 juniors were judges by Mrs Gunnel Holm from Finland and the adults were judges by a newbie in aussie ring, Mrs Hanne Laine Jensen from Denmark. As they do in Denmark they started with champions so we had two dogs going in at the same time as Hjördis, Drover's Honey I'm Home was to go in to puppy bitches and Gösta, INT CH Drover's Attent'n Please was entered in champion class. Hjördis was BOS-puppy and Gösta got an EXC. Mrs Jensen did not appreciate undocked tails at all. She found only three dogs with a long tail worth of an EXC outside of champion classes, as all champions were graded as Excellents. So our champion girls Thyra, INT CH Drover's Crown Jewel and Signe, CH Drover's Evryboyzdream got their Excellents. Pinja, INT CH Tres Colores Gabrielina was close to get something else in veteran class but as the ringside gave a big hand for her she got an Exc and was placed as 3rd out of three veterans. Our breeders group got the prize of honour but we did not take it to the big ring. The specialty day after saw an entry of 33 aussies. The sky high entry fees were for sure one reason for the low number of entries. The two US judges were cancelled and our breed was judged by Mrs Roselle Ehrlich from South Africa. Hjördis won BOB puppy and put her best foot forward in BIS-puppy competition as she won! Gösta was graded as VG in open class. Signe was EXC1 4th best bitch in champion class. Thyra was EXC2 in open class and Pinja was 2nd best bitch and BOB-veteran and she too enjoyed the sunny day for full and ended up as BIS-veteran. Our breeders group did not place in group ring.

06.06. Tallinn/Estonia
A SMS from Tallinn tells us that Finn, Drover's Huckleberry the Finn has won BOB puppy at the Estonian Winner show. The judge was Mr Kamen Litov from Bulgary. 01.05. Hilleröd Int'l, Denmark
Littermates Gösta, INT CH Drover's Attent'n Please and Kielo, INT CH Drover's Almost Unreal celebrated their 6th birthday on a ferry to Sweden en route to Denmark. 28.04. Albin in memoriam
Albin, INT CH Drover's Evrybodys Talkn has passed away. Albin lived his short life with four wheel drive on, also at times when you shouldn't use it. He was very reactive dog with excessive guardian instinct yet was he very aggressive towards other dogs no matter of sex or size and insecure with people he did not know. We had put down hours and hours of work on his socialisation but he still gave us more than enough grey hairs. Those people and dogs he knew were his best buddies. That gave us hope that he might get over of his fear for dogs and people he did not know. Because his temperament was nothing we would use in breeding we decided to give him an implant which neutered him in hope to later neuter him for good and place him to a pethome. Unfortunately the implant was of little help for his behavior. He stopped jumping to every bitches back he met, other than that he remained the same difficult himself. Yesterday saw something happen which should never happen. Albin escaped from our fenced yard and bit our neighbour, a woman he knew since puppyhood. There was not much left than do the final decision and put him to sleep to avoid anything like this to happen again.

17.04. Sillamäe, Estonia
Finn, Drover's Huckleberry the Finn started his showcareer today by winning BOB puppy. In the puppy group he made the cut among eight finalists. The breed judge for the day was Mr Kirill Barbosov from Russia. Congratulations Merle!

14.02. Tampere
Dog show people must be totally nuts. This morning showed temparature as low as -20C. Today's show was going to be held on a cold horseback riding hall! And we were going to show there! There was an entry of 31 aussies for legendary Mr Hans Lehtinen from Finland. He does not judge aussies too often so we just had to be there. After two+ hours drive we were in Tampere and the temp was -10C. Still freezing cold and the show was...well better save the words, just use your imagination. But the results for our part was all worth the freezing show day. Our great old Pinja, C.I.B. Multi Ch Multi V Tres Colores Gabrielina won BOB, BIS veteran and made the cut among eight finalists in the herding group. Her son Mr Gösta, C.I.B. Drover's Attent'n Please has not been shown since last July. And boy did he enjoy being back in business! Gösta was 2nd best male with such a flattering critique that we have seldom seen. Wonder why he did not win the breed. Gizmo, Drover's Can't Help It was VG2 in open class. Velmu, Drover's Fearless Knight was VG2 in intermediate class. His littersister Trulli, Drover's Fortuneteller won intermediate bitches and ended up as 3rd best bitch with her second CAC. Signe, CH Drover's Evryboyzdream won champion bitches and was placed as 2nd best bitch after Pinja. Our breeders group was graded worth of prize of honour but we did not place in the finals. 12.09. Tallinn/Estonia and Porvoo/Finland
Today we have experienced the judging of two swedish judges. Riitta and Satu K travelled to Tallinn with Rico, Drover's Excalibur, Signe, Drover's Evryboyzdream and CH Shannon des Chemins Cathares. After a change of judge our breed was judged by Mr Marko Johansson from Sweden. It was not really nice to hear that he had been commenting to the ring secretary that he does not like to judge our breed as he feels it very difficult to judge aussies!!! Rico got a VG2, Signe VG1 and Shannon was BOS and BOB-veteran. It was not surprising at all that Riitta and Satu did not feel like staying for the veteran group. Meanwhile we were showing in Porvoo. The judge for the day was Mr Bo Wiberg from Sweden. Albin, CH Drover's Evrybodys Talkn was 3rd best male. Trulli, Drover's Fortuneteller won her first CAC and was 2nd best bitch after her grandmother Pinja, C.I.B. Tres Colores Gabrielina who made her show debute in veteran class in Finland. Pinja won BOB and BIG2 under german Mr Horst Kliebenstein. In veteran group she did not get any placement.

06.09. Thyra is in whelp!
Drover's H-litter is on the way as Thyra, C.I.B. Drover's Crown Jewel was at the ultrasound today. We saw several small babies in her belly. Check the coming litters-page for more information.

15.-16.08. Gösta was missing, Oslo Int, Norway + Norrköping Int, Sweden, Thyra is mated
Gosh, what a weekend it has been. It all started on thursday when Taija, Sanna and Riitta started their trip to Oslo. Thyra had also started her season and the d-days were coming for the weekend. Because Taija was on her way to Norway Satu was going to travel with Thyra for the mating. Our boys were taken care of our friends. But Mr Gösta decided that he for sure is not going to stay there and ran away in the middle of evening rush hours on Helsinki ring 1! Taija and co were already on the boat to Sweden when they received the horrible news that Gösta is missing. It was awful to sit there on the ferry when you couldn't do anything. We sat there like zombies. Morning came and no news of Gösta. We continued towards Oslo and sent SMS's and made some phonecalls asking for any news. Finally in the afternoon came a SMS that Gösta is doing well. A phone call to Satu; is he well? What? Where? Tears were floding when we heard that he is doing well other than being extremely tired, thursty and somewhat schocked. Gösta was taken to the vet to make sure he is OK and then Satu decided that she would take him with her to the mating trip. Not an easy task but...you could not leave him to anyone after this. In Oslo it was +15 and raining cats and dogs. The judge for the day was Mr Javier Sanchez Fernandez from Spain. There was also a trainee judge in the ring who had quite clear opinions of the dogs. Indy, CH Drover's Bath'n Brushed was 2nd best dog with res.CACIB. Signe, FIJW08 Drover's Evryboyzdream is totally naked at the moment so we did not expect anything for her. She got a Good. Pinja, C.I.B. Tres Colores Gabrielina has won BOB under this judge in France. Now she did not get an excellent and was placed as 2nd in her class! When the judging finally was over by half past 3 p.m. we packed our wet things to our van and started the 4,5 hour drive to our next pitstop. Satu called that Thyra had met her fiance and it was love at first sight :-) Next day was in Norrköping. There was a change of judge. Mrs Eva Liljeqvist-Borg was judging. Indy has been 3rd best male under her last year in tough competition so maybe there was a chance...but no. Indy won his class, but with a VG. Signe was VG2 because of the coat condition. Pinja won BOS and BOB veteran. Thyra had another meeting with her fiance so the weekend was done. We had to drive really fast to catch the ferry and we almost missed it. We were at the harbour 10 minutes before the ferry left to Finland. Thanks again for everyone who helped us in surching for Mr Gösta! Your help was very much appreciated.

09.08. Turku
There was an entry of 25 for Mr Rajko Rottner from Slovenia. Rico, Drover's Excalibur won BOB with CAC and was shortlisted among six finalists in the group. Our girls in their summer clothes; Signe, Drover's Evryboyzdream and Fara, Drover's Forevermore were both placed in their classes. Signe was EXC2 in open class and Fara was VG4 in junior class.

05.08. Health result
Becky, Drover's Breakthrough had her eyes cleared today.

01.08. Ülenurme, Estonia
Littermates Albin FIJW-08 FIW-08 EEW-09 Drover's Evrybodys Talkn and Signe, FIJW-08 Drover's Evryboyzdream travelled to Estonia having CAC's in their minds. The judge for the day was Mrs Marianne Baden from Denmark who had alrady liked both of them at Finnish Winner show last december. Well, she had not changed her mind. Albin won BOB with his last CAC and is now Estonian and Norwegian champion. Signe won 2nd best bitch with CAC. She still needs one ore CAC for her title. Like this wouldn't been enough for a trip abroad Albin won the group! So far it was a repeat from last years Ülenurme show when Thyra won her title and crowned it with a group 1st. But Albin decided to take one step more as he won Best in Show! The BIS judge was Mr Jo Schepers from Netherlands and he just loved Albin. Thank you both judges making this a memorable day for us. There sure are not many aussies with full long tail out there who have won an all breed BIS ;-)

29.07. Health result
Fara, Drover's Forevermore was x-rayed a couple of weeks ago. Today came the reaults from Kennel Club: hips B-B and elbows 0-0.

Drover's had a huge entry of 16 dogs plus Elle and Pinja. Too many to mention everyones results so we'll list those who received class placements. Vito, Drover's Good Vibrations was 4th in puppy dogs 7-9 months. Gösta, C.I.B. Drover's Attent'n Please was EXC3 in champion dogs in a class of eight. Signe, FIJW-08 Drover's Evryboyzdream was EXC2 in intermediate bitches. Becky, EUJW-06 Drover's Breakthrough was EXC4 in open class bitches. Pinja, C.I.B. 13-14.06. Riga Int'l, Latvia
We spent the weekend in the beautiful capital of Latvia. On saturday our breed was judged by Mrs Marion ten Cate from Netherlands. Oswald, CH Drover's Counting Sheep won BOS with CAC and CACIB. Signe, FIJW-08 Drover's Evryboyzdream was EXC1 with CQ in intermediate bitches and 4th best bitch. Pinja, INT CH Tres Colores Gabrielina won open class bitches and ended up as 2nd best bitch. Our judge said that Pinja had the best movement for the day and she was amazed of her age of nearly eight years. Thyra, INT CH Drover's Crown Jewel is half naked at the moment. She was EXC4 in open class bitches. Drover's had a breeders group which was placed as 5th in group finals. On sunday we saw Mr Philip John from India (England) judge our breed. He has not changed his opinion of aussies as his BOB was our Pinja, INT CH Tres Colores Gabrielina who got her latvian championship with this win. BOS was Oswald who finished his C.I.B. with this win! Signe won her class with EXC and CQ and Thyra was EXC3. Mr John has judged in Finland a couple of years ago and found then his BOB and BOS in our Gösta and Kielo, also Pinja kids :-) Unfortunately we had no chance to stay for the group finals as we had a ferry to catch in Tallinn.

07.06. Tallinn Int'l, EEW-09
Mr Paul Jentgen from Luxembourg had an entry of 18 aussies. Our Albin, FIW-08 FIJW-08 Drover's Evrybodys Talkn won BOS with CAC and CACIB and he also got a new title; EEW-09! His dam, the 8,5 years old CH Shannon des Chemins Cathares was 2nd best bitch and BOB veteran with veteran CAC. Shannon also got two new titles today; EEVW-09 and EEV CH. Our little Elle, Danka Red NBT de l'Oree des Charmois made her show debute today and she was placed as 2nd with an EXC in junior class bitches. Becky, EUJW-06 Drover's Breakthrough was 4th best bitch. Signe, FIJW-08 Drover's Evryboyzdream was EXC2 in intermediate bitches. Unfortunately we couldn't stay for the veteran group as we had a ferry to catch.

07.06. Lahti, obedience trial
Rico, Drover's Excalibur scored 174,5/200 points today which gave him a first prize and a class placement 5/21. The judge was Mrs Hannele Pörsti.

06.06. Lohja, agility
Sanna and Oswald, CH Drover's Counting Sheep made their first start in official agility competition today. They got 15 points and made overtime 2.88 and were placed as 7th, only 12 dogs got a result today. The judge was Kati Wala.

06.06. Salo
Rico, Drover's Excalibur was EXC2 in intermediate males. Gizmo, Drover's Can't Help It got a G because the judge of the day, Mrs Lilian Hanniste from Estonia did not accept Finnish Kennel Club's vet.certificate of a missing tooth which has been removed after a trauma!

01.06. Eyes, hips and elbows
Today we visited the vet with several dogs. Rico, Drover's Excalibur had his eyes cleared. Signe, Drover's Evryboyzdream and Trulli, Drover's Fortuneteller had their hips and elbows x-rayed. Now we'll just keep our fingers crossed that Kennel Club's vet will agree with our vet with the results. Trulli also had her eyes cleared.

31.05. Mänttä
Satu and Rico, Drover's Excalibur and Milla and Greta, Drover's Good Luck Charm drove to Mänttä today. Greta won BOB puppy and Rico was 2nd best male with res.CAC. The judge for the day was Mrs Hilkka Salohalla from Finland.

Our foundation bitch, the lovely Pinja, Multi CH Multi W Tres Colores Gabrielina finished her International championship (C.I.B.) by winning BOS with her last CACIB two months shy of her 8th birthday. The entry of 33 aussies was judged by Mrs Marja Talvitie from Finland.

21.05. Herding at Swedu's herding school
Today we had an awesome day at Swedu's herding school in Piikkiö. 10 Drover's dogs (Kerttu the OES and aussies) and Shannon tried their herding skills. Kimmo, the owner of the herding school said afterwords that the day had been most pleasant. Dogs were all positive (well old Shannon did not show any interest for the sheep) and all dogs had enough temperament to deal with the sometimes hard commands without getting scared or disturbed. Those who were with us were Gösta, Thyra, Rico, Greta, Oswald, Signe, Shannon and Kerttu, Trulli, Fara and Fasu. It takes a while to sort out all the 1700+ photos but once it is done we'll publish the best shots. Thanks for Matti for shooting for us.

18.05. Health result
Gizmo, Drover's Can't Help It had his eyes cleared today.

13.05. Health result
Elle, Danka Red NBT de l'Oree des Charmois had her eyes cleared today.

12.05. Forssa, obedience trial
Taija and Gösta, C.I.B. Drover's Attent'n Please and Satu and Rico, Drover's Excalibur were at an obedience trial again. This time Rico had a blast in the ring and scored 190/200 points and he won the class with a prize of honour! Gösta scored 150/200 points which was enough for a second prize. The judge was Mr Ilkka Sten.

09.05. Helsinki
Rico, Drover's Excalibur got VG2 in intermediate class. Aussies were judged in pouring rain by Mr Reijo Tuovinen. Before the rain came we managed to take some new pics of Greta, Drover's Good Luck Charm.

06.05. Eye check
Patu, Drover's Dollars Lost got his eyes cleared today.

03.05. Ulvila, obedience trial
Today Taija and Gösta, C.I.B. (INT CH) Drover's Attent'n Please and Satu and Rico, Drover's Excalibur drove to Ulvila for an obedience trial. It was Mr Gösta's first trial. He scored 142,5/200 points and got a second prize. Rico was so near of a first prize but he missed control in the end of heelwork without leash and escaped from the ring to say hello to spectators. Because of this episode his otherwice superb points reached for 141,5/200 points so he also got a second prize. The judge was Mrs Tuija Sere.

27.04. Eye check
This is a monday, bloody monday. Gösta, CH Drover's Attent'n Please, Albin, Drover's Evrybodys Talkn and Signe, Drover's Evryboyzdream visited eye specialist today. Boys had their eye clearances but Signe was found to have GRD (geografical retinal dysplasy) on her right eye. This was a big, big schock for us as RD should be seen as a puppy and she had been cleared with flying colours back then. Our vet stated that RD can be missed as the eyes are not fully developed at such an early age. Even bigger shock was to hear that GRD is a case of not for breeding.

26.04. Lahti Int'l
The judge for the day was Mrs Eva Borg from Sweden. Oswald, CH Drover's Counting Sheep has not been in a ring since last december. Oswald really had fun and won BOS with his last CAC and CACIB. 2nd best male with res.CAC straight from junior class was Velmu, Drover's Fearless Knight who was shown for the first time since puppy class last october. His litterbrother Fasu, Drover's Frigg'n Fabulous was graded as good in junior class. Fasu needs lots of time for maturing. Becky, EUJW-06 Drover's Breakthrough was 2nd best bitch.

25.04. Vaasa Int'l
Wow, we are really in 7th heaven with the success our dogs are getting now. Mr Petru Muntean from Romania was the judge for the day. Gösta, INT CH (C.I.B.) was 2nd best male. Thyra, INT CH (C.I.B.) Drover's Crown Jewel put her best foot forward as always and won BOB. Signe, FIJW-08 Drover's Evryboyzdream was 2nd best bitch with CAC and res.CACIB. As Thyra is already INT CH, or C.I.B. as it is nowaydays marked, her CACIB will go to Signe. This was Signe's first CACIB. Like this wouldn't been enough Thyra really made us proud by winning the group! As this was a two days show we could not participate to the BIS final as we live five hours drive one way from Vaasa and couldn't stay over night.

25.04. Inkoo, obedience trial
Terhi and Gizmo, Drover's Can't Help It competed again in class two. Today they were lucky and got their third first prize in class two with 178/200 points which was also high in trial. Well done!

19.04. Harstad Int'l, Norway
Drover's has been very much on the roll this weekend! (See also results from Sillamäe 18.04). There was an entry of 21 for Mrs Kornelia Butrimova from Lithauen. Albin, FIJW-08 FIW-08 Drover's Evrybodys Talkn won CAC, CACIB with BOB and Kielo, EE CH EUW-06 Drover's Almost Unreal won BOS with CAC and CACIB and this makes her new NO & INT CH! Albin continued his winning ways in the group finals as he won the herding group.

18.04. Sillamäe, Estonia
Riitta and Satu K. travelled to Estonia with their Signe, FIJW-08 Drover's Evryboyzdream and Rico, Drover's Excalibur. Rico won BOS with CAC and Signe BOB, also with CAC. Signe continued her lucky day in group finals as she was placed as 2nd! Breed judge was Mr Alexandr Soroko from Belarus.

18.04. Helsinki, obedience trial
Terhi and Gizmo, Drover's Can't Help It gathered 155/200 points and second prize in obedience class two. The judge was Mrs Riitta Räsänen.

13.04. Lappeenranta Int'l
Mrs Leni Finne from Finland had an entry of 22 aussies. Long day in cold spring weather with an unexpected outdoor ring was well worth the trip as we have two new International champions! Mr Gösta, FIN, S, N, EST CH Drover's Attent'n Please won best male with his last CACIB and Thyra, FIN, S, N, EST CH LVW-07 ESTW-07 ESTJW-07 SW-07 FINJW-07 Drover's Crown Jewel won best bitch also with her last CACIB. In the BOB Thyra won over Gösta. We are proud of our two first homebred International champions in aussies :-)

04.04. Helsinki, all breed puppy show
After a change of judge we saw Mr Javier Sanchez Fernandez judge an entry of 15 pups. Our little Greta, Drover's Good Luck Charm made her debute and showed us that she is a showgirl just like her mom Pinja and halfsister Thyra. Greta enjoyed every minute in the ring and won BOB.

22.03. Tracking in France
Vanille's (Drover's Aurora Borealis) son Cajou Black du Paradis Sauvage de Ménestruel has passed the lowest level of tracking competition in France. He also has gone through the obedience class one in France. Next thing in their plans is search. We'll wish good luck with the talented boy Cajou!

22.03. Kirkkonummi, obedience trial
Terhi and Gizmo, Drover's Can't Help It gathered 139,5/200 points in class two. The judge was Mrs Kaisa Lähdesmäki.

14.03. Tampere Int'l
Mr Walter Schicker from Germany got an entry of 53 aussies. He had overall too many dogs in his ring so the show committee made a strange decision and took males away from him. The 31 boys were judged by Mr Jesper Anderson from Sweden. Mr Schicker took BOB and gave it to Becky, EUJW-06 Drover's Breakthough. Congratulations Tuula on Becky's CACIB! Rico, Drover's Excalibur was shown in intermediate males and was placed as 2nd with an exc in a class of eight.

21.02. Thyra's litter
When things start to get difficult they really go difficult. Thyra started her season three weeks earlier than expected. We had two chosen males for her depending on their HSF4 results. One of the test results (which was clear) came one day prior Thyra should have been mated and the other has lost in space on it's way to the lab...as both of this gorgeous boys live outside Finland we had no other choice than move the planned breeding to Thyra's next season. Instead of taking maternity leave Thyra will now go to some shows in hope to get her last CACIB for her International championship.

08.02. Mäntsälä, unofficial obedience trial
Satu, owner of Rico, Drover's Excalibur talked Taija over to take her chances and enter Gösta, CH Drover's Attent'n Please to an unofficial obedience trial. Taija had not been training with Gösta since ages. So in two weeks she had some active training with him and only one week time to train the jump. Gösta was soooo good boy. He gathered 173/200 points. It looks like he will be seen in the official obedience trials in the future. Rico gathered 182/200 points.

05.02. Health result
Patu, Drover's Dollars Lost was x-rayed after new year holiday. Today came his results from Kennel Club: hips are C-B and elbows 0-0.

24.01. Turku Int'l
There was an entry of 42 for Mr Des Manton from Ireland. Albin, FINJW-08 FINW-08 Drover's Evrybodys Talkn was 3rd best male with res.CAC and res.CACIB. Rico, Drover's Excalibur was VG3 in his class. Fara, Drover's Forevermore won junior class bitches with VG and Signe, FINJW-08 Drover's Evryboyzdream was 2nd in her class with VG. Our breeders group was 2nd with a prize of honour.

18.01. Lahti
We were both working this weekend and could't make it to Lahti. But the SMS from Riitta had some good news to tell us as Signe, FINJW-08 Drover's Evryboyzdream won her 2nd CAC with BOS. Reetu, Drover's Fair And Square made his show debute and he was graded as good in juniors. Rico, Drover's Excalibur got VG2 in intermediate males. The judge for the day was Mrs Päivi Eerola.

10.01. Kajaani Int'l
It's a long way to Tipperary...and to Kajaani from southern coastal Finland. We drove 7,5 hours one way, are we nuts :-) , but at least we experienced a beautiful, beautiful winter with lots of snow. Both we and dogs enjoyed it for full. There was an entry of 31 aussies for Mr Harry Tast from Finland. As he got an overall too big entry the show committee changed juniors to a polish judge. We had Albin, FINJW-08 FINW-08 Drover's Evrybodys Talkn and Signe, FINJW-08 Drover's Evryboyzdream with us. Albin won CAC and CACIB as he was BOS. Signe was 2nd best bitch with res.CAC and res.CACIB.

09.01.09 Health result
Thyra, Multi Ch Multi W Drover's Crown Jewel visited eye doctor today. Everything was in order with her eyes.

15.12. Puppe moved
Puppe moved to Halikko to live with a newfoundland and a cat (and some two footed as well). Thank You everyone who showed interest to Puppe.

13.12. Helsinki Int'l, FINW-08
There was a huge entry of 71 aussies for danish Mrs Marianne Baden. We are on cloud nine after the very long day. First out was Drover's Frigg'n Fabulous, Fasu who was 2nd in puppy class males. Junior class males was won by our Albin, Drover's Evrybodys Talkn who got a new title FINJW-08 and also a ticket to Crufts. His littermate Rico, Drover's Excalibur was VG3 in his class. Indy, CH Drover's Bath'n Brushed won champion class males and Gösta, CH Drover's Attent'n Please was second. Oswald, CH Drover's Counting Sheep was graded as VG. In the best male class Albin surprised us by winning best male with the title of FINW-08, Indy was 2nd best male with CACIB and Gösta was 4th best male. Signe, Drover's Evryboyzdream was not worse than his brother as she won junior class bitches and like Albin, got the title FINJW-08 and a ticket to Crufts as well. Signe was finally placed as 3rd best bitch so she got herself a res.CAC. Open class bitches was won by Becky, EUJW-06 Drover's Breakthrough. Thyra, Multi Ch Multi W Drover's Crown Jewel was 2nd in champion class bitches. Drover's had best breeders group out of four groups shown.

08.12. Thyra got an invitasion
Today's mail included an inviation for Thyra, Multi Ch Multi W Drover's Crown Jewel to our champion of champions contest. The gala evening will take place in Vantaa january 31st. The top winning show dogs for the year are invited. We are honoured and surprised, had no idea that our little girl had done so well with so few entries to Finnish shows. We did not travel to Norway for their "winner gala" but we might send her entry in to our own competition.

02.12. G-litter at vet check up
G-litter visited eye specialist yesterday evening. The results were not excactly what we wanted to hear. The boy #2, "Puppe" was found to have iris coloboma on his right eye and iris hypoplasia on his left eye. So we named him as late as at the vet. He will be Drover's Give Me a Break. Boy #1 and the girl did also have iris hypoplasia on their right eyes, left eyes were OK on both of them. Iris hypoplasia is underdevelopment of iris and does not affect the quality of life of a dog in question. Puppe is still looking for a home of his own. If you are interested to give him a home please feel free to contact us. He is not suitable for future breeding but his future owner can very well live an active and fully normal life with him.

22.11. Jyväskylä Int'l
There was an entry of 50 aussies for Mr Zolt Lokodi from Romania. Best of our gang did Albin, Drover's Evrybodys Talkn who went on to win BOS with his first Finnish CAC and second CACIB whithin two weeks! We were glad to see Gizmo, Drover's Can't Help It in a ring again. He has been home maturing and now he was placed as EXC3 in a large open class. Signe, Drover's Evryboyzdream won best junior in breed and was placed as 3rd best bitch with res.CAC. Becky, EUJW-06 Drover's Breakthrough won open class bitches with an excellent. Last but not least our Thyra, Multi Ch Multi W Drover's Crown Jewel had not been shown for some months. She was overwhelmingly happy to be in the ring again. Thyra won champion class bitches and ended up as 2nd best bitch with a super flattering critique though heavy coat shedding. Our breeders group won best breeder in breed out of two groups shown.

16.11. Riga Int'l, Latvia
This weekend we headed south to Latvia to its beautiful capital Riga. The judge for the day was Mr Andrzej Stepinski from Poland. We had again three Drover's dogs with us. The winner of the day with CAC and so a new Latvian champion and CACIB was Kielo, EUW-06 Drover's Almost Unreal. BOS with CAC and CACIB was Indy, CH Drover's Bath'n Brushed who also got his Latvian title with this win. Signe, Drover's Evryboyzdream was placed as 3rd best bitch. We couldn't stay for the group finals as we had a ferry to catch in Tallinn, Estonia.

08.11. Tartu Int'l, Estonia
WOW! We had a super trip to Estonia. The judge for the day was danish rough collie breeder Mrs Charlotte Höier. We had three Drover's dogs with us to show for her. As the judging went on we had second thoughts whether we could get anything as she was quite strict in her judging and was not giving many excellents. But we couldn't be happier as we cleaned the table with very, very flattering critiques. The winner of the day was Albin, Drover's Evrybodys Talkn who got his first CACIB at the age of 15 months by winning the breed. Albin continued to please the spanish group judge Mr Mario Gil de Biedma Riviere who placed him as second in group with very flattering comments about him! Here is Albin's written critique from the breed judge: Very nice male of perfect type and substance. Absolutely wonderful head with the most wonderful foreface and skull. He's a bit straight in shoulder but bone substance is perfect. Very nice knee angulation. Moves as he could do it all day without getting tired. Beautiful colour. Very nice aussie. BOS with CACIB and her final CAC was Kielo, EUW-06 Drover's Almost Unreal who is now EST CH. Kielo's critique is also worth publishing: Extremely sound and very well constructed worker. Everything fits together. I would prefer a better eye and a more even earset. Very nice skull and foreface. Behind the ears she is absolutely gorgeous and sturdy in anatomy. Moving like a working dog should. Shows all the time. Signe, Drover's Evryboyzdream was shown in junior class and she won her juniorCAC and was 2nd best bitch after Kielo. Here is Signe's critique: Very sound and nicely put together. Good size. Very feminine. Typical head with good skull. Nice expression. Wonderful topline and perfect forechest. Super angulation. Nice croup. Good movements. We appreciate these critiques highly :-)

02.11. Vantaa, all breed puppy show
Fasu, Drover's Frigg'n Fabulous and our own Edith, Drover's Dream de l'Oree des Charmois were shown for the first time today. Fasu was 2nd best male puppy but Edith took everything today by winning not only the breed and group but she won BIS as well! The breed judge was Mrs Leni Finne.

01.11. Espoo, all breed puppy show
Fara, Drover's Forevermore was shown for the first time today. She won BOB-puppy with a very flattering critique. The judge was Mr Pekka Hannula who also took herding group and he placed Fara as 2nd in group. Well done Tytti!

19.10. Hämeenlinna
There was an entry of 35 aussies for Mr Gert Christensen from Denmark. Both Velmu, Drover's Fearless Knight and Signe, Drover's Evryboyzdream made their show debutes today. Velmu was BOS-puppy and Signe was BOS with her first CAC! What a way to start a show career. Oswald, CH Drover's Counting Sheep won champion class with an Exc and was placed as 3rd best male.

10.10. Health result
Our Albin, Drover's Evrybodys Talkn was x-rayed some weeks ago. Today we finally received the happy news: hips A-B and elbows 0-0.

08.10. Thyra got an invitation
Today's mail included an invitation for our Thyra, CH Drover's Crown Jewel to take part to Winner Gala in Norway. It is their champion of champions competition.

07.10. G-litter is here
Pinja whelped a litter of three. Just like last time, in the C-litter, she has two boys and one girl. We have two blue merle boys and one black tri girl. Photos soon on coming litters.

05.10. Espoo, obedience trial
Satu and Rico, Drover's Excalibur gathered 116/200 points in class 1 and it was enough for a third prize. The judge was Mr Harri Laisi.

28.09. Inkoo, obedience trial
Terhi and Gizmo, Drover's Can't Help It gathered 148/200 points and it was enough for a second prize. The judge was Mr Harri Laisi.

21.09. Somero, temperament test
Littermates Gizmo, Drover's Can't Help It and Thyra, Drover's Crown Jewel did their temperament tests today. Wow, that's all we can say! Gizmo gathered 190 points and Thyra 174 points, both were secure with gunshots. Thyra added her Finnish and Swedish conformation titles to her already long line of previous titles with passing her temperament test. The judges were Mrs Sirkka Lempinen and Mrs Carita Koskinen.

19.09. Espoo, obedience trial
Rico, Drover's Excalibur had his first obedience trial this evening. The trial was unofficial but with the same rules as real trials have. Rico got 182,5/200 points and he won the class. Good luck to the real trials Satu and Rico!

13.09. Porvoo
Mr Göran Bodegård from Sweden judged today. He found no male worth of an excellent! Rico, Drover's Excalibur got VG1 in junior class males and Oswald, CH Drover's Counting Sheep got VG1 in champion class males.

12.09. Signe's knee and a Match show result
As we told you late May Signe, Drover's Evryboyzdream has been operated twice after a knee injury. In May everything was still open whether her knee will ever be good or not. But we have great news as Signe is fully recovered and there is absolutely no limping at all :-) Her movement is clean and effortless and she will hit the rings later this fall. Our little Edith, Drover's Dream de l'Oree des Charmois made a show debute in a match on wednesday evening. She loved the show ring and ended up as Best In Match over adult dogs.

09.09. Högbo Bruk Int'l, Sweden and Helsinki and G-litter is on the way
Taija and Sanna travelled to Sweden with Sanna's boys and Thyra. The judge for the day was Mr Ulf Bråthen from Denmark. He did not like of Indy, CH Drover's Bath'n Brushed nor Oswald, CH Drover's Counting Sheep although they are very different type of dogs. Both got grading Good! But Thyra, CH Drover's Crown Jewel managed to charm one more judge as she won BOB with CAC and CACIB. Unfortunately we had no time to stay for the group finals as we had a ferry to catch. Meanwhile Rico, Drover's Excalibur was shown in Helsinki for swedish Mr Per Svarstad. Rico was 2nd best male with res.CAC. Satu took Pinja, Multi CH Multi W Tres Colores Gabrielina to ultra sound and she is in whelp! G-litter is due 11-12.10.

17.08. Tallinn Int'l, Estonia
Once again a trip to Estonia for nothing. Our breed was supposed to be judged by Mrs Marianne Baden from Denmark but unfortunately she cancelled her scheduled judging due to family reasons as late as in thursday prior the show. As we had already paid our ferry tickets we decided to try our luck with Mrs Maret Kärdi from Estonia. Gösta, CH Drover's Attent'n Please won champion males with a Very Good. Our judge found no male worth for an excellent! Pinja, CH Tres Colores Gabrielina won champion bitches and was placed as 2nd best bitch with res.CACIB. Gösta will continue the "romancing for the last CACIB" but Pinja will take a break (hopefully) from show rings and will make a come back next spring.

09.08. Saarijärvi, Finnish National Specialty
Whoohoo, what can we say! The four+ hours drive one way was very much worth the effort. This year our club had invited Mrs Sheila Polk from USA (Tri-Ivory aussies) to judge our national specialty. She had an entry of 70 to judge. Our Thyra, CH Multi W Drover's Crown Jewel won BIS from the open class! 2nd best bitch was her famous dam Pinja, Multi Ch Multi W Tres Colores Gabrielina who had won champion class. Indy, CH Drover's Bath'n Brushed won champion class and ended up as 2nd best male. Rico, Drover's Excalibur was EXC4 in a class of 12 junior males. Oswald, CH Drover's Counting Sheep was EXC3 in open class males. Gösta, CH Drover's Attent'n Please was EXC3 in champion class males. Becky, EUJW-06 Drover's Breakthrough was EXC4 in open class bitches. Albin, Drover's Evrybodys Talkn got a VG in junior class males though he got a very flattering critique, only needing time to fill up in body. Drover's had the best breeders group and the only one with the prize of honour.

20.07. Ypäjä again
Well, todays BIS final was judged by world famous all rounder Mr Rainer Vuorinen from Finland. Thyra, CH Drover's Crown Jewel was placed as 3rd in the BIS after the English Bulldog who is leading the all breed top dog list in Finland and the westie who is second in the list! We are thrilled about Mr Vuorinen's comments about Thyra: Very beautiful bitch of 2 years. Some more time for developement and she is going to be great. She has close to perfect movement and she is so much of the same type as your blue merle bitch. Is she a daughter of her's? (Oh yes, she is :-)). What I like about her is that she is so moderate just like an Aussie should be, not having too heavy bone. Thank you Mr Vuorinen, we very much agree with you :-)

19.07. Ypäjä
The judge for today was Mr Paavo Mattila from Finland. Oswald, Drover's Counting Sheep was 2nd best male with res.CAC. Thyra, CH Drover's Crown Jewel won her last CAC in Finland with BOB. Like one week ago she took the herding group by storm and stood finally in the spotlights as BIG 1! As this is a two days show we'll return to Ypäjä tomorrow for the BIS competition.

12-13.07. Weekend in Estonia and 13.07 Karjaa in Finland
Taija and Sanna travelled to Estonia with Thyra, Drover's Crown Jewel and Oswald, Drover's Counting Sheep. The weekend was very succesful as they came home with two new champions and a group winner! On saturday there was a show in Räpina. Aussies were judged by Mr Gert Christensen from Denmark. Oswald won best male and BOS with his last CAC and finished his EST CH title. Congratulations to Sanna! Thyra won best bitch with CAC and BOB. The sunday show was held in Ülenurme and aussies were judged by Mr Ralf Campbell from Norway. Oswald was graded as very good but Thyra charmed our judge totally and won BOB with her last CAC and finished her title. She is now EST, N CH among her all winner titles. On the afternoon Thyra put her best foot forward and she made it all the way and won the herding group! WOW! Meanwhile there was a show in Karjaa, Finland. Rico, Drover's Excalibur was shown there. He won junior class males with grading very good. The judge was Mrs Leni Finne from Finland.

04.07. Stockholm, World Show
There was a total entry of 153 aussies. Juniors were judged by Mr Fredrik Norgren from Sweden and all the adults by Mr Ole Staunskjaer from Denmark. In junior class males Albin, Drover's Evrybodys Talkn was graded as excellent and he made it all the way to reserve junior world winner! Albin was the best dog with a full long tail in his class. In open class males Sanna's Oswald, Drover's Counting Sheep was graded as good. In champion males Gösta, CH Drover's Attent'n Please was graded as very good and Sanna's Indy, CH Drover's Bath'n Brushed was graded as good. Thyra, MultiW Drover's Crown Jewel was EXC6 in open class bitches and EUJW-06 Drover's Breakthrough was graded as excellent. CH Shannon des Chemins Cathares was placed as EXC5 and Pinja, CH Tres Colores Gabrielina as EXC6 in champion class. Drover's was again 2nd out of six breeders groups being the best European breeder!

03.07. Almare-Stäket, Swedish National specialty
There was an entry of 105 aussies for Mrs Joni A Jonson, Terra-Blue from USA. Lot's of aussies on a green grass and sunny weather. Let the fun begin! In junior class males Albin, Drover's Evrybodys Talkn was graded as very good. In open class males Sanna's Oswald, Drover's Counting Sheep was EXC2 and best European bred and best dog with a full long tail. Oswald also won res.CAC. In champion males Gösta, CH Drover's Attent'n Please was graded as excellent and Sanna's Indy, CH Drover's Bath'n Brushed was EXC3 being the best European bred and best with full long tail in the class! Thyra, MultiW Drover's Crown Jewel was graded as EXC in open class. Becky, EUJW-06 Drover's Breakthrough was graded as excellent and she was placed as 3rd. Pinja, CH Tres Colores Gabrielina won champion bitches and CH Shannon des Chemins Cathares was EXC2. Drover's was 2nd out of six breeders groups being the best European breeder!

29.06. It's been busy last week
As the FCI world dog show is close up we have lots of things to do prior leaving to Sweden. In the middle of all this huzzle we welcomed our new bitch puppies from France! Edith and Danka (until her co-owner gives her a new name) arrived the night between thursday and friday. Thank You once again Marie-Anne and Emilie for all your help and patience with us during this process of getting the girls to Finland :-) On saturday 28th June Taija was showing Gösta, Drover's Attent'n Please and Pinja, Tres Colores Gabrielina in Pärnu Int'l in Estonia. Unfortunately the Hungarian judge Mr Istvan Laszlo did not fell for our dogs. On sunday Taija went to a blood tracking course with Thyra, Drover's Crown Jewel and Thyra had a blast with tracking for the first time! She sure showed how an aussie can track to all those hunting terriers.

01.06. Tallinn Int'l, Estonia, ESTW-08
Mrs Eva Borg from Sweden had an entry of 27 aussies. Sanna's Oswald, Drover's Counting Sheep won BOS with CAC and CACIB and ESTW-08! Indy, CH Drover's Bath'n Brushed won champion class males and ended up as 3rd best male. CH Shannon des Chemins Cathares won champion class bitches and ended up as 3rd best bitch with res.CACIB. EUJW-06 Drover's Breakthrough was EXC2 in open class bitches and Drover's Evrybodys Talkn got a Good in junior class males.

30.05. Signe's knee
Signe, Drover's Evryboyzdream has had bad luck with her knee during this spring. She started to limp late January and of course we thought that she has developed hip dysplasia. Hips were x-rayed and they were perfect. She was given pain killers and order to take it calmly the next few weeks time. As her condition did not get better she was taken to the veterinary high school in Helsinki and they found out that she has injured her cruciate ligament in the knee and she has to be operated. Operation went well and a line was put in to her knee to keep it steady. She has recovered perfectly and started her weekly visits to physiotherapist in the beginning of May. She has done amazingly well so she has been entered to a few shows during summer until...Riitta phoned last sunday that Signe is standing on three feet keeping her right rear leg up in the air! A quick visit to Uni showed that the knee was loose again and new time for operation was given to her. Signe was operated last wednesday. The line was almost broken and that was the cause of her being lame. The vets put now a stronger type of line in to her knee. Only time will tell if she is ever going to have clean movement after two knee operations.

24.05. Helsinki Int'l
Mr Harry Tast from Finland judged an entry of 14. Our Albin, Drover's Evrybodys Talkn was shown for the first time. He won junior class males with a VG. According to judge, and we do agree with him, he needs more ring training to get an excellent. Albin's litterbrother Rico, Drover's Excalibur was VG2. Oswald, Drover's Counting Sheep got his first ever Good because the judge wanted to see more legs on him. Indy, FIN, EST CH Drover's Bath'n Brushed won BOB with his second CACIB. Totally naked Thyra, Drover's Crown Jewel won intermediate bitches with grading VG. Our breeders group got a prize of honour.

17.05. Pori
Gizmo, Drover's Can't Help It won his class with excellent. Judge was Mrs Valentina Ivanishcheva from Russia.

11.05. Helsinki and Rauma
Mrs Marja Talvitie had an entry of 10 in Helsinki. Rico, Drover's Excalibur was 2nd with grading very good in junior class males and Thyra, Multi W Drover's Crown Jewel won BOB. Thyra, who is in summer clothes at the moment, made the cut in group finals. Meanwhile Terhi showed her Gizmo, Drover's Can't Help It in Rauma where Mrs Kornelia Butrimova from Lithauen had an entry of 24. Gizmo won his class with excellent.

09.05. Health clearances
Puppies visited eye specialist today and all passed their eye clearances with no notations. They are all as healthy as can be little aussies.

26.04. Lahti Int'l
There was an entry of 31 to Mrs Barbara Ann Brooks from USA. Drover's had four entries. Best did Sanna's Oswald, Drover's Counting Sheep who was EXC2 in intermediate class and 2nd best male with res.CAC and res.CACIB. In champion class Gösta, CH Drover's Attent'n Please was VG2 and Indy, CH Drover's Bath'n Brushed was VG3. Thyra, Drover's Crown Jewel was EXC2 in intermediate bitches. Gösta's critique is so amazing that we will publish it here: I find him very feminine. His head is not masculine. Nice topline. Moves around the ring very well. I find his ears very incorrect which takes good head type away. Of course we can not help it if this judge sees Gösta as feminine but he for sure does not have incorrect ears!

19.04. Harstad Int'l, Norway and Jyväskylä Int'l, Finland
We have had a super weekend! Taija drove up to northern Norway with Gösta, CH Drover's Attent'n Please and Pinja, CH Tres Colores Gabrielina. They charmed the judge Mr Petru Muntean from Romania totally and ended up as Gösta being BOS and Pinja BOB with both getting their CACIB's. Gösta also won his norwegian CAC so he is now also N CH! Pinja was picked among six finalists in the group. Meanwhile there was an International show in Finland. Tuula showed her Becky, Drover's Breakthrough who was placed as 3rd best bitch with CACIB in Jyväskylä. The judge was Mrs Päivi Eerola from Finland.

05.04. Anjalankoski, BH-test
Gizmo, Drover's Can't Help It passed his BH-test with flying colours. The judge for the test was Mrs Laura Mäkelä.

19.03. Puppies are here!
Kielo gave birth to Drover's F-litter last night. Everything went well and quickly and both mom and pups are doing well. We have three boys and five girls, all black tris with full long tails. Photos soon on coming litters page.

15.03. Tampere Int'l
WOW! It was a clean sweep for Drover's today. There was an entry of 39 to Mrs Chris Walkowicz from USA. First one out in the ring was Oswald, Drover's Counting Sheep who won intermediate dogs with an EXC. Indy, CH Drover's Bath'n Brushed won champion dogs with an EXC and Gösta, CH Drover's Attent'n Please was 2nd in champion dogs with an EXC. As Satu was unable to come to the show today Taija and Sanna had some problems with showing all the dogs in the best male competition. As Oswald and Indy had won their classes Sanna took Oswald and Taija took Indy to best male. Gösta was given to Tuula, owner of Drover's Breakthrough. Gösta showed well until the judge asked one last run around the ring, this time all together and Gösta started to pull like a sleddog after Taija who ran in front of him with Indy. This was the reason that Gösta was unplaced in best male and the one who was 3rd in champion males placed 2nd in best male after Indy who won males and got his first CACIB! Oswald placed as 4th best dog. Thyra, Multi W Drover's Crown Jewel stood alone in intermediate bitches which she won with an EXC. Becky, EUJW-06 Drover's Breakthrough was 2nd in open bitches with an EXC. In best bitch competition Thyra continued her winning ways by taking CAC, CACIB and best bitch. Becky was placed as 4th best bitch. In BOB Thyra won over Indy. Thyra was also picked among nine finalists in a very tough group. Drover's also showed best breeders group in breed with a prize of honour. Thanks for everyone who helped us showing our dogs today :)

23.02. Bö i Telemark Int'l/Norway
There was an entry of 26 aussies for Mrs Agnes Ganami from Israel. Gösta, CH Drover's Attent'n Please was 2nd best male with res.CACIB. Thyra, Multi W Drover's Crown Jewel showed her heart out as always and won the breed with CAC and CACIB. She continued her winning ways by taking a Group 2nd in herding group!

16.02. F-litter is on the way!
Kielo's ultrasound showed several puppies in her uterus. F-litter is due on Easter. Inquiries are welcome!

16.02. Pieksämäki, obedience trial
Terhi and Gizmo, Drover's Can't Help It gathered a pointscore of 172/200 in class 2. That was enough fore a 1st prize. The judge was Mrs Anne Nokelainen.

12.02. Cataract DNA result
Today we got the DNA result from the cataract gene HSF-4 for Kielo, Drover's Almost Unreal. She too is clear from the gene so the litter she is hopefully expecting with Indy, Drover's Bath'n Brushed will be clear by parentage.

11.02. Cataract DNA results
Today we finally got DNA results from the cataract gene HSF-4. So far we have received results from following of our dogs, all being clear from the gene: Tres Colores Gabrielina, Shannon des Chemins Cathares, Drover's Attent'n Please, Drover's Bath'n Brushed, Drover's Breakthrough, Drover's Crown Jewel, Drover's Counting Sheep and Drover's Can't Help It. As both Gösta and Shannon are clear it makes our E-litter clear from the gene by parentage.

08.02. Health result

There was an entry of 37 to swedish Mr Paul Stanton. Oswald, Drover's Counting Sheep was graded as VG because of high tail carriage. He was 2nd in intermediate males. In champion class Gösta, CH Drover's Attent'n Please was exc2 and 3rd best male and Indy, CH Drover's Bath'n Brushed was exc3 and 4th best male. Our breeders group was 2nd with a prize of honour out of four groups.

Kielo, EUW-06 Drover's Almost Unreal was graded as good because of her ears! 1,5 years ago she was graded as excellent with 2nd best bitch under this very same judge with the very same ears!

15.12. Stockholm Int'l, NORDW-07
There was an entry of 50 to swedish Mrs Petra Junehall, a breeder of leonbergers. Oswald, Drover's Counting Sheep was 2nd in intermediate males with CCQ. He lost to a NBT dog because of too high tail carriage. Indy, CH Drover's Bath'n Brushed got a good in open class males because of too high tail carriage and the judge said that his coat was not in show condition! Gösta, CH Drover's Attent'n Please was 4th in champion males (and best dog with a tail). Thyra, MultiW Drover's Crown Jewel was 2nd with a CCQ in intermediate class bitches and she too was best bitch with a tail in her class. Pinja, Multi Ch MultiW Tres Colores Gabrielina was 2nd in champion bitches and 4th best bitch and best bitch with a tail. This judge had big difficulties to understand tails and eye colour as she said about red dogs having too light eyes. The new FCI-standard #342/20.06.2007/G/B states about tail: straight, naturally long or naturally short. When docked (in countries where this practice is not forbidden), or naturally short, not to exceed 10cm. This same standard says about eye colour: Brown, blue, amber or any variation or combination thereof, including flecks and marbling...

Our girls did super job today as Thyra, MultiW Drover's Crown Jewel won the class of eight junior bitches and got one more title to her already long list of Winner-titles. She is now also FINJW-07! Becky, EUJW-06 Drover's Breakthrough won the class of eight open class bitches and ended up as 2nd best bitch with res.CACIB. Our breeders group was third out of three groups shown.

24.11. Kirkkonummi, obedience trial
Terhi and Gizmo, Drover's Can't Help It have been in action again. Gizmo's first start in class 2 (we have four classes in Finland) was not bad at all. Gizmo got 165/200 points and was 2nd best in trial. The judge for today was Mr Ossi Harjula.

But our breeders group put it one step ahead and won BIS out of all the beautiful groups! The judge was Mr Leif Lehmann Jörgensen from Denmark.

20.10. Rakvere/Estonia
One totally crazy trip to Estonia brought us one new Estonian Champion as CH Drover's Attent'n Please won CAC with BOS. Drover's Almost Unreal won her first CAC towards her Estonian title and was placed as 2nd best bitch. The judge was Mr Piotr Krol from Poland. Both Oswald and Thyra missed the ring as we arrived too late to the showground due to some unlucky happenings during our ferrytrip.

After whelping her litter just 5 months and three weeks ago she made her come back to the show business by winning BOB and FINW-06 out of an entry of 46 aussies! We are thrilled for the flattering words and comparing Pinja to Judy, CH BISS BIS Bayshore Russian Roulette! Thank You Mr John Reeve-Newson from Canada. 22 aussies were entered to finnish Mrs Elina Haapaniemi. Tuula was showing her Becky, EUJW-06 Drover's Breakthrough who was placed as 3rd best bitch. Meanwhile we spent our day in Kausala with some of our dogs. We had with us Pinja who showed some nicest herding she has ever done. Kielo, Drover's Almost Unreal was introduced to sheep for the first time. The puppy gang was also there. The five months old littermates Thyra, Drover's Crown Jewel and Oswald, Drover's Counting Sheep and their mate the two weeks younger OES puppy "Hjallis", Soft Motion's Am I Hot Gossip all knew what to do with the sheep. The aussiekids were brave and especially Oswald showed some really nice working already. Hjallis is more laid back and seems to think that better with a good plan before the action :-) But all in all all the dogs showed herding instinct. Gizmo, Drover's Can't Help It was introduced to sheep two weeks ago and he showed great intrest to sheep.

12.09. Our home bred champion #1 is here!
Today we got a letter from Finnish Kennel Club that they have approved the conformation title for Kielo. So she is now FIN CH EUW-06 Drover's Almost Unreal and our champion #1 in Aussies!

10.09. Helmi moved back
Sometimes things in life don't go as planned. After a serious thinking the co-owner of Drover's Crown Jewel "Helmi" made the hard decision that in this stage of the happenings in her life a puppy is too much for her to take care properly. So Helmi moved back to us yesterday and we gave her the name we used to call her before she went to Sirpa's place: Thyra.

09.09. Porvoo
Freezing stormy wind from north during the whole day at an outdoor show. But we don't complain! There was an entry of 30 aussies for Mr Philip John from India. Together they performed in our winning breeders group which got a flattering critique: All of excellent quality. The blm dog is outstanding and just the right type. Black dog has good bone & substance and good add to the breed. I was pleased to award them.

05.08. Riihimäki, mental test
Ladies Lea Yli-Suvanto and Lea Haanpää judged the mental test in Riihimäki. We have seen a lot to happen in mental tests during the years but as you say, there is a first time for everything. So this was our first time to get a result unsecure for gunshots with a dog who did not move her leg or ear during the gunshots. We still don't know why the judges decided to shot more than those two gunshots required in the rules for Finnish mentaltest. Alltogether they shot four times for Kielo, Drover's Almost Unreal but still she did not show any fear for gunshots. She gathered +86 points but because she did not pass the gunshots she did not pass her mentaltest. Luckily the whole test is on our videocamera and we are thinking how to handle this. Jonna, Drover's Again And Again was also tested and as expected as she is a very soft aussie bitch she did not pass. She, though, was OK with gunshots. We as spectators did not see any difference on her behaviour during the gunshots when compared to Kielo.

01.08. Health results

Drover's Bath'n Brushed was 3rd Best Male and EUW-06 Drover's Almost Unreal was 2nd Best Bitch. Drover's All Eyes On Me was 2nd in open bitches with "very good" and Drover's Again And Again was 3rd in open bitches with "very good". The judge for the day was Mrs Kitty Sjong from Denmark.

22.07. Saarijärvi
Mrs Hilkka Salohalla judged today. Becky, EUJW-06 Drover's Breakthrough won her class with grading very good.

16.07. Helsinki
We had a most interesting exprerience today as Mrs Gillian Crunchey from Australia judged our breed today. She seemed to have big problems with tails on Finnish dogs and did not like them to carry their tails naturally like they do. Aussies are not carrying their tails like borders but she wanted them to have low tails. So our dogs (and many others) got graded only "good" because too high tail set, which was also wrongly said as she obviously ment tail carriage. We showed Drover's Bath'n Brushed, Drover's Attent'n Please, Drover's Again And Again and Drover's All Eyes On Me, which was the only Drover's bred dog to get "very good". Wappu placed as 2nd in open bitches.

15.07. Laukaa
Becky, EUJW-06 Drover's Breakthrough won her class with grading very good. The judge was Mrs Leni Nousiainen from Finland.

09.07. Karjaa
Mr Garry Newton from USA had an entry of 30 aussies. Indy, Drover's Bath'n Brushed was 3rd with excellent in junior males and Wappu, Drover's All Eyes On Me lived up to her name by winning BOB with her final CAC! Now she has to pass the character test to gain her conformation title.

Agnes Ganami from Israel had an entry of 14 aussies. "Titzi", Drover's Burning Heart was placed as 3rd best bitch.

02.07. Porvoo
Beata Petkevica from Latvia had an entry of 19 aussies. Indy, Drover's Bath'n Brushed was placed as 2nd Best Male with res.CAC. "Gösta", Drover's Attent'n Please did not fell at all to this judge and he got grading "good". Wappu, Drover's All Eyes On Me was 2nd Best Bitch with a res.CAC.

18.06. Forssa
Sun was shining from cloudless sky and we are shining together with the sun. BOB to "Kielo", Drover's Almost Unreal, BOS with first CAC to "Indy", Drover's Bath'n Brushed and 2nd best male with res.CAC to "Gösta", Drover's Attent'n Please. Breed was judged by Mrs Gunnel Holm.

Pinja whelped a litter of four puppies. We have three boys and one girl. Pictures coming soon to upcoming litters-page.

10.06. Helsinki Int'l/European Winner show
The other one of Finland's two breed specialists, Päivi Eerola had an entry of 33 Aussies at the European Winner show in Helsinki. First one to enter the ring was Drover's Bath'n Brushed who was shown in junior class. Indy got his excellent but this time he was not placed. Drover's Attent'n Please, Gösta was 2nd in open class. Tuula showed her Becky, Drover's Breakthrough in junior bitches and Becky took the class by storm by winning it and she got her first title, EUJW-06! Our read head was in action again. Kielo, Drover's Almost Unreal won open bitches. The dam of Becky and Indy had her chance to get shown in Finland as she is docked. Shannon des Chemins Cathares was placed as 3rd in open class although being quite naked at the moment :-) Kielo also won her final CAC and the title of EuW-06! We are thrilled with this succes. We showed our breeders group with all dogs graded as excellent and out of two groups we were placed as 2nd with a prize of honour. Thank You all again for a day to remember!

04.06. Mänttä
Mrs Elena Ruskovaara judged today in Mänttä. Drover's Breakthrough, "Becky" was 2nd Best Bitch with res.CAC.

03.06. Tallinn Int'l/Estonia
Our Shannon des Chemins Cathares was today shown in Tallinn. Most unluckily she started to shed her coat heavily some three weeks ago so she looks more like a smooth coated version of an Aussie. Despite of that her great movements gave her a good placement as 2nd best bitch with res.CACIB. After a change of judge we saw finnish Mrs Soile Bister judging an entry of 18 Aussies.

25.05. Bjuv/Sweden
Drover's Burning Heart "Titzi" was shown again. She was 2nd in junior bitches with a prize of honour. The judge was Mr Bo Wiberg from Sweden.

21.05. Hässleholm Int'l/Sweden
Drover's Burning Heart "Titzi" was shown today. She won junior bitches with a prize of honour. After a change of judge our breed was judged by Mrs Birthe Larsen-Rosvall from Sweden.

21.05. Helsinki Int'l
Two Drover's dogs were shown today for the swedish Mr Anders Lyrholm. Drover's Bath'n Brushed "Indy" was placed as 2nd Best Male with res.CAC. He lost the CAC because the judge saw him slightly overweight. Drover's April Love "Lempi" was shown very well by her young owner and she was placed as 2nd in open bitches with grading very good.

20.05. Järvenpää, Aussie Open
Boy did we have fun at the Aussie Open! We have not been able to participate to this event since the very first Aussie Open in 2003. This year our club had decided to invite two judges from USA due to the ever increasing number of entries. The total entry of 150 aussies made the entries to new record in Finland. Mr Rick Gann (After All aussies) judged bitches, BOB, BOB-puppy and best breeders group and Mrs Melinda Gann (After All aussies) judged dogs and best progeny group. We are on cloud nine as our "Kielo", Drover's Almost Unreal won BOB! She won her class in red bitches and continued her winning ways all the way to BIS. Her dam "Pinja", Multi Ch Tres Colores Gabrielina won blue merle bitches, 3rd in blue merle bitches was "Becky", Drover's Breakthrough and 4th in blue merle bitches was "Wappu", Drover's All Eyes on Me. "Lempi", Drover's April Love was also shown in blue merle bitches and she too got a very nice critique. "Vilma", Drover's Breathtaking and "Jonna", Drover's Again and Again were shown in black bitches both getting very nice written critiques just needing more self confidence in showing. On the males we had two boys to show. "Indy", Drover's Bath'n Brushed was placed 2nd in black males and our "Gösta", Drover's Attent'n Please was placed as 3rd in the biggest class for the day, 25 blue merle males. Out of the seven shown breeders groups Drover's was chosen as the winner. Thank you all for making this day a memorable one!

14.05. Hamina
Aussies had a change of judge and we saw Mrs Jaana Hartus judging our breed. Drover's All Eyes On Me "Wappu" won BOS with CAC. This was Wappu's first CAC after her second birthday but unfortunately she already has a CAC from Mrs Hartus so she can not use this one for her conformation title.

10.05. C-litter is on the way!
Pinja's easter dating with "Bernard" was successful so we are waiting a litter to be born mid June. Please see the link for coming litters for more information.

23.04. Lahti Int'l
We stayed home this weekend but our puppybyers did wonderful job at Lahti Int'l. Mr Rajko Rotner from Slovenia judged an entry of 28 aussies. 11,5 months old Indy, Drover's Bath'n Brushed was 2nd with an excellent in junior class and was placed as 4th best male. His littersister Becky, Drover's Breakthrough made it all the way and won bitches with her first CAC and BOS!

26.03. Bergen Int'l/Norway
Long, long drive to beautiful Bergen on Norways western coast. Pinja, CH Tres Colores Gabrielina won her Norwegian title as she won BOB with CAC and CACIB under norwegian Mrs Wera Hübenthal.

18.03. Tampere Int'l
Mr Salvatore Giannone from Belgium judged an entry of 53 aussies today. Our Shannon-pups were shown for the first time in junior class. Sanna's Indy, Drover's Bath'n Brushed was placed as 2nd with an excellent and Vilma's Luca, Drover's Braveheart who was at his first show ever was one of the six junior males with an excellent in a class of 15 juniors. Indy was later placed as 4th in Best Male class. Well done! Tuula showed her Becky, Drover's Breakthrough also for the first time and she also got an excellent and was placed as 4th in a class of 10 junior bitches. Kielo, Drover's Almost Unreal was shown in intermediate and she was placed as second with an excellent in a class of two. Our Pinja, CH Tres Colores Gabrielina got her excellent but she was not placed in a class of five champion bitches. We showed our very first breeders group and we were placed as second out of three groups but surprisingly with no prize of honour although all the dogs in our group had been graded as excellent=champion quality.

14.03. Health results
We have been to eye specialist today. Pinja (Tres Colores Gabrielina), Gösta (Drover's Attent'n Please) and Kielo (Drover's Almost Unreal) were checked among our two OES's. All the five dogs had clear eyes.

12.03. Pinja is TOP conformation aussie for 2005!
Today we finally can tell the big news that our Pinja won the title of Top conformation Aussie in Finland for 2005 and her daughter Kielo was third on the list!

15.01.2006 Lahti, show for FCI groups 1&2 and all breed puppy show
The first show for the year 2006, and what a way to start the year. There was an entry of 33 adult aussies for finnish Mrs Marja Talvitie and seven puppies for also finnish Mrs Lena Eskills. All together there were over 1800 dogs at this show! First out were the adults. We had entered Gösta, Drover's Attent'n Please. He first won his class and then continued on to win Best Male with his first CAC. We would have been more than pleased with this but our boy went all the way to win the breed and in the afternoon he picked a Group second! Eight months old Drover's Beyond Belief, "Wilma" was shown for the last time in puppy class and she did not disappoint us. She won BOB puppy and in the afternoon she picked a Group third to her credit.

18.12 Helsinki Int'l, Nordic Winner show
And now it was the second day of Finnish Kennel Club's biggest event of the year, the double winner shows. There was an entry of 50 aussies for Mr Pedro Sanches Delerue from Portugal. We had entered Gösta, Kielo and Pinja. Gösta, Drover's Attent'n Please made his debut in Finnish showrings by winning the intermediate class (well, he was the only one :-)) with an excellent. He made us proud by making the cut among six finalists in Best Male and he finally won res.CAC. His redheaded sister Kielo, Drover's Almost Unreal has not been shown since May but what a way to make a comeback. She was entered in open class to compete among the "big girls" just accidentally. The class held 10 bitches but our Kielo, shown by Satu, won the class with style. She ended up as 3rd Best Bitch with CAC. The dam of Gösta and Kielo is our CH Tres Colores Gabrielina "Pinja" who showed her heart out today and she, if anybody else, was happy to win Best Bitch and NORDW-05:-) She was finally placed as BOS after the Danish owned American bred Gefion's Chronicle. Pinja was also one of the four dogs in Tres Colores breeders group which was chosen as best out of the three groups shown.

17.12 Helsinki Int'l, Finnish Winner show
Today was the first day of Finnish Kennel Club's biggest event of the year, the double winner shows. There was an entry of 44 aussies for Mrs Lena Eskills from Finland. We had entered only Pinja and she picked one more title to her already impressing list of winnings as she won BOS. She is now also FinW-05.

10.12 Stockholm Int'l/Sweden, Swedish Winner show
Oh my goodness, what a show! Where do I start :-) 36 aussies were entered to norwegian Mr Frank Christiansen. We knew nothing about this judge beforehand so it was really exciting to show for him. First out in the ring with his show debute was our "Gösta", Drover's Attent'n Please. He was shown in the intermediate class (18-24months) and he was placed as 2nd in a class of seven with a grading champion quality. Our french beauty Shannon des Chemins Cathares won open bitches and "Pinja", Tres Colores Gabrielina won the champion class. In best bitch class Pinja took the first place with another new title, SW-05 and Riitta showed Shannon to a 4th place with CAC! Pinja then met her half brother in the BOB which she took by storm. Very nice show with superb results for our team!

09.12 A letter from Swedish Kennel Club
Yippee! Pinja is Swedish Show Champion! Today came the letter from SKK stating that they have accepted her Finnish mentaltest for their conformation title. They changed the rule (again) recently after Finnish Kennel Club sent a question to SKK asking why they don't accept our mentaltest.

Wilma was best bitch and ended up as BOS-puppy.

Puppy show success in Sweden
Titzi, Drover's Burning Heart has done some excellent results in Sweden. She was shown for the first time on Oct 16th and she went BOS-puppy to an older male bred by her owner Pia Augustsson. Last sunday, Oct 23rd Titzi took BOB-puppy shown by Claes as Pia was unable to participate to the show. Claes and Titzi did not stay for the group finals. Well done Titzi and the Augustsson family!

Breed judge was Mrs Annika Ulltveit-Moe from Sweden and group was judged by Mrs Beata Petkevica from Latvija.

05.10 No S CH title for Pinja
Today we received a letter from Swedish Kennel Club stating that they are no longer accepting the Finnish character test for Swedish championship! The biggest problem with this is that a dog has to be under four years of age when it is tested in Sweden and Pinja turned four years old in July. We are hoping to get her tested in Sweden and we have sent a letter to ask a special permission to do the test during next spring. Sometimes dogs from abroad may get this permission.

29.09 Health result again

Drover's Almost Unreal, "Kielo" was x-rayed two weeks ago. Today came the results: hips A-A and elbows 0-0!

22.09 Back home from France
Pinja's two weeks holiday in France is over. We spent 10 days in Pierrefonds in a beautiful country house where dogs enjoyed themselves as much as we between the shows. Pinja was entered to two shows which she took by storm. 11th September was our first show in Pontoise, just some 40 kilometres north from Paris. Before we headed to the show grounds had Aussies had two changes of judge and finally we saw Mr Javier Sanchez Fernandez from Spain judging the eight Aussies. Pinja won BOB with CAC and CACIB. After some relaxing days as tourists was the highlight of this trip, the French National in l'Isle Adam 17.-18.09. Mrs Gail Karamalagos, Callisto aussies judged the main classes while french OES breeder Mr Pascal Grappin judged puppies, juniors and veterans. There was an entry of 163. We are still on cloud nine as Pinja won res.CAC after the BIS winning bitch who took the CAC! Pinja's daughter Drover's Aurora Borealis "Vanille" was placed as 9th in a class of 19 intermediate bitches.
